It’s not often that we hear the experiences of people that migrated as children or teenagers - from their birth country to another. And this is why we hosted a Clubhouse room in August 2021 to explore just that.

Our special guest was Abena Eyeson author of ‘Looking Up’, - a book that charts the journey of 13-year-old Esi who leaves her life with her grandmother, aunt and cousin to live with her mum in London.
Abena kicks off this podcast with a reading from her book and we also hear from audience members about their experiences of migration, the impact it has had into their adulthood.
