We had a great discussion with author Krystle Zara Appiah who joined our Book Club as a special guest to talk about some of the themes in her debut book 'Rootless'.

If you haven't read the book, here's a quick synopsis:
Efe and Sam have been best friends since before they were married and on the surface their relationship looks picture perfect. But behind closed doors, the pair have different life goals and these come to the fore when an unplanned pregnancy forces Efe to make some life-changing decisions which impact her and Sam.
In the discussion, we explore themes around motherhood, parenthood, identity, societal expectations and more. We also get to learn more about the new book Krystle is currently writing. We turned the Book Club chat into an episode here:
If you've read 'Rootless' and/or you were in our Book Club, let us know if the chat resonated with you. And if you haven't read 'Rootless' tell us if it's next on your list...
