The man who invented the world’s top 10 cocktail - the Pornstar Martini - was also lauded for co-founding one of the most popular cocktail spots in London.
The late Douglas Ankrah co-founded Soho-based London Academy of Bartenders (LAB) in 1999.
LAB was originally a training school for bartenders and became one of the bar hotspots in London.
Lauded as a pioneer in the drinks industry, Douglas was a consultant and entrepreneur who worked for brands including Bulldog Gin and Cockspur Rum in London.
In 2003, Douglas developed the Pornstar Martini while he was working at the Townhouse - a Knightsbridge-based cocktail bar he established a year earlier.
The Pornstar Martini is a mix of vanilla, vodka, fresh passion fruit, passion fruit liqueur, vanilla syrup and lime juice, plus a shot of Prosecco.
