#9 Black History Month UK - Rosamund-Kissi-Debrah

Our first podcast in 2022 featured Rosamund Addo-Kissi-Debrah, an air quality campaigner and mother to the late Ella Roberta.

In 2021, nine-year-old Ella became the first person in the UK to have air pollution listed on her death certificate as a major contributor to her death. She died from a rare and severe form of asthma in 2013.

The clip you are seeing is an animation of a segment of the original interview created by Yaw Djin founder of Maisha Africa.

The clip explains the genesis of Rosamund’s drive to fight for lasting change to the quality of the air we breathe.

Listen to the whole podcast on AKADi Magazine’s ‘Connecting Communities’. This is our 9th post in our Black History Month UK Countdown.

This is our ninth post in our Black History Month Countdown.
